Dr. Amos Lo

Qualifications

Amos Lo, MB BS, FRCS (Glasg), FRCSEd (ORL), FHKCORL, FHKAM (Otorhinolaryngology), graduated from St. Joseph’s College in 1988 and the University of Hong Kong in 1993 with distinction in Biochemistry.  After a year of intership, he entered into training in Otorhinolaryngology in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in Hong Kong in 1994.  He spent his elective training in the fields of general surgery, intensive care and emergency medicine.  He finished his higher training and became a Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology in 2003.  He developed special interest in laryngology and phonosurgery where he completed a clinical attachment in specialized voice clinics and attended voice conferences in the United States.  He was the surgeon-in-charge of the Voice Clinic of his training hospital.  His scope of practice also included diagnosis and treatment of general ear, nose and throat diseases as well as sleep-related disorders.  He entered private practice and joined Hong Kong Surgical Specialists in 2006.  He is currently a member of the Hong Kong Voice Foundation, the Hong Kong Institute of Allergy, the Hong Kong Surgical Laser Association, the Hong Kong Society of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
